Please keep in mind that the information contained here is just a snapshot of the website design process. We walk you through each step to ensure that your website is of the highest quality - and it is our goal to make the process painless (and maybe even fun!)What Happens After I Sign Up?
-
Step One - Review Website Questionnaire.
Within 24 hours after subscribing, you will receive a detailed questionnaire to fill out about your practice - customized for the size of the website that you need and your medical specialty. The questionnaire is what MDS uses to develop your website. We will also ask you to submit any images that you would like incorporated in your site (pictures of your building, providers, staff, logo, even exam rooms) with your questionnaire.
Step Two - Gather Website Content
Written Content.
Do you have brochures, informational sheets, or other literature? These are a good starting point for developing your website content. We request that you write your own material and not copy and paste it from another website, because this is copyright infringement. We suggest you have a minimum of 1-2 paragraphs per page to start, you can always add more material and content later. However, it's best to have all of your content in the initial launch if at all possible. Send physician biographies (specialty interests, educational background), and any articles or papers that have been written by your staff (or about your practice!)
New Patient Forms, Privacy Policies.
If you have digital forms, that is best. However, we can digitally scan in paper based forms and convert them to PDFs on your website. By providing online copies of your forms, your practice saves time and paper!
Logos, Images, Physician and Staff Photos.
Do you have a logo already? MDS will need your original logo file in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Quark, or other original format. Send all images in the highest resolution/quality possible for best results.
Desired Color Scheme.
Consider the color scheme you would prefer for your website. We suggest using Adobe's Kuler to generate ideas and a scheme - then you can just send the image code to us.-
Step 3 - Complete and Submit Website Questionnaire.
After you have gathered your content and given some thought to what you'd like on your practice's website, it's time to complete the questionnaire. Our questionnaire is a comprehensive form that enables us to build your healthcare website quickly and efficiently. In short - you write the content, leave the design and search engine optimization to us. -
Step 4 - Questionnaire Complete? Schedule "Kick Off" Call.
For medical website subscriptions of 5+ pages, MDS schedules a 1 hour kick off call with your practice. During the call, we review the questionnaire and ask additional questions about your vision for the site. At this time you have the opportunity to make any special requests or ask any questions you might have. -
Step 5 - Your Site is Live!
Our timeframe from the kick off call to launch is 2 weeks or less. During this time we develop your site, submit your site to the best directories and local portals, and perform search engine optimization due diligence. Our mission is to get your site live and found in the search engines as quickly as possible.
Optional Services To Enhance Your Website
Patient Web Portals
MDS can help you integrate your electronic medical records system, or patient web portal directly into your website. With an integrated web portal, your patients can pay statement balances online, request prescription refills, and securely communicate with their provider(s) in your practice.
